Rochdale extend Bridge loan

Rochdale Hornets have taken the option to extend Danny Bridge’s loan deal from Queensland Cup side, Redcliffe Dolphins, on a week-to-week rolling basis.

The player was originally over in the UK to resolve visa issues and visit family, but ended up inking a short-term deal with Hornets.

He has since played four times this season so far for the Lancashire club.

Hornets coach Alan Kilshaw is pleased that a player with such pedigree remains part of his squad for the moment.

“I’m pleased that we have managed to keep hold of Bridgey for at least the next few weeks,” he said.

“He has been important for us in the opening rounds. He has brought a level of experience having played in Super League and over in the Queensland Cup.”
