Recent Widnes debutant, Lloyd Roby, has renewed his contact with the club until the end of the 2019 season.

The 18-year-old made his first team debut for the Vikings in the recent Challenge Cup fixture against Warrington.

Roby said: “I’m pleased to have committed to Widnes Vikings. I’ve been here from the age of 14 and the club have been fantastic in supporting my development.

“This is a great environment, with a close-knit team of coaches and players, so it’s where I want to be.”

Brett Hodgson, Head Coach of Widnes Under 19s, added: “We are pleased that Lloyd has committed his future to the Vikings. Lloyd has progressed superbly in recent seasons and is an outstanding player for his age.

“He has great utility value and a fantastic knowledge of the game. Lloyd handled himself well in his recent debut and this shows that he has a real future at Super League level.”
