Robins’ defence key to Cup glory for Kelly

Hull KR scrum-half Albert Kelly wants to see an improvement in his side’s defensive display, when they play Warrington in the Challenge Cup semi-final at Headingley on Saturday.

Rovers go into the game on the back of a 52-12 humiliation by St Helens last week, and Kelly knows that the defensive performance was poor last week.

“It’s one of my jobs to give the boys confidence and bring that energy to the team but all week we’ve been focusing on our defence,” the Australian told his club’s official website.

“We can score tries from anywhere on the park with the likes of Ken and Kieran, but it’s how we turn up in terms of our attitude in defence that’s key.

“We’ve defended really well in patches this season but we’ve got to find that consistency and this weekend would be the perfect time to perform.”
