Canberra forward Ryan Sutton could be about to join Canterbury for next year. (Wigan Today).

Tony Smith aiming to emulate St Helens

Hull KR Head Coach Tony Smith has said he is hoping to follow the path of Super League champions St Helens. (Hull Live).

Smith told Hull Live: “Saints went through a period where they weren’t top of the tree. They’re back in that position now and have worked really hard to get there. All credit to them.

“But it goes in cycles for most clubs and teams. It’s hard to stay there and hard to keep it going, and then you have to go through a regrowth. They’ve done it pretty well.”

Homophobic comment being investigated

The RFL Match Review Panel are investigating after Warrington forward Rob Butler made an accusation of homophobic language being used towards him by a Huddersfield player during a reserve match. (Love Rugby League).

The referee put the incident on report at the time.

Barrow forward dreams of representing Italy

Barrow Raiders prop Anton Iaria says it would be a ‘dream come true’ if he got to represent his Italian heritage at this year’s World Cup. (Love Rugby League)
