NRL veteran retires

NRL veteran and hooker Andrew McCullough has called time on his NRL career, aged 32.

He said: “It feels right. I’m happy, I’m content, I just want to get on with it now.”

Halifax’s Super League ambitions

Grayson told the Courier: “Halifax Panthers have been a strong club for a long number of years within the RFL structure, but they’ve spent the last 20 years out in the wilderness of the Super League.

“What we want to do it to build a structure around the club that enables us to get back into Super League at some point.”

More impressive World Cup viewing figures

BBC Sports reporter Tanya Arnold has revealed some more staggering viewing figures for this year’s World Cup.

She wrote on Twitter: “Peak of 1.2million watched England’s women beat PNG last night – hoping for even more on Monday night for the semi-final.”

Burgess, 30, knows Crowe from his time at the South Sydney Rabbitohs. The England international was most recently released from his contract with the St George Illawarra Dragons.

He is set to feature in the 2023 film ‘Land of Bad’ – according to Sydney Morning Herald.

Former Leeds prop quietly released by NRL club

The 31-year-old former Leeds prop forward was contracted with the NRL club for the 2023 season, but was missing from their Top 30 Players list.

Lebanon star snapped up after impressive World Cup campaign

Lebanon international Khalil Rahme has joined Ipswich Jets for the 2023 campaign following an impressive World Cup campaign in England.

The Jets compete in the Queensland Cup competition.

Former international forward and Leeds, Castleford, Warrington, Toronto and Leigh prop Ryan Bailey turns 39 today (November 11).

Also celebrating; Ex-Wakefield skipper Danny Kirmond (37), utility Liam Welham (34), Papua New Guinea international James Segeyaro (32), England star Emily Rudge (31), Swinton full-back Dan Abram (27), Barrow’s Shane Toal (27) and Kiwi playmaker Nikau Williams (23).
