Brett Hodgson discusses options after Josh Reynolds injury

Hull Head Coach Brett Hodgson is open for a number of players to play at half-back following Josh Reynolds’ elbow injury. (Hull Live).

Hodgson told Hull Live: “Obviously Danny Houghton has played there in the past, Jordan Johnstone has played there, Joe Lovodua has played at half growing up in his career over in his Australia and Jake Connor can jump into six with Shaul at full-back. We’ve got a number of options.”

No complaints for Kristian Woolf on Hurrell ban

St Helens Head Coach Kristian Woolf has said he has no complaints with the one-match penalty notice given to Konrad Hurrell. (St Helens Star).

Woolf told St Helens Star: “The RFL and the Match Review Panel have made it clear from the start of the year that they are going to be looking heavily into that area and what the punishments are going to be.”

Gareth Hock launches new business outside rugby league

Former Wigan and England forward Gareth Hock has launched a new business with his dad hiring out skips. (Wigan Today).

Hock told Wigan Today: Me and my dad had a chat and have gone together on it. Like a family thing. I spoke to a few people who do it and its just gone from there to be fair.”

Brian McDermott says Featherstone would enhance Super League

Featherstone Head Coach Brian McDermott believes his side would enhance the Super League if they get promoted. (The Sportsman).

McDermott told The Sportsman:“When I speak about work ethic to these men they get it, I don’t have to educate on what work ethic is.

“It’s a great club to be at, the potential of the club is very good, it would enhance Super League for sure. We have a lot of work to do on and off the field but everybody is believing in the same vision and I’m enjoying being part of that.”
