The 33-year-old currently has a year remaining on his contract with NRL club Sydney Roosters. However, reports suggest he could be following team-mate Sio Siua Taukeiaho to France in the future. 

No approach for Bateman

Wigan have not received an official approach for star back-rower John Bateman from the Wests Tigers. (Wigan Today)

Bateman, 29, has been linked with a return Down Under for the 2023 NRL season. He has three-years remaining on his contact at the DW Stadium.

Channel 4 confirm early coverage

Rounds One and Two of the 2023 Super League season have been confirmed. The full fixture list is set to be announced later this morning.

Channel 4 will cover Hull KR’s opening game against Wigan at Saturday, February 18.

Warrington will kick-off the new season at home to Leeds on the Thursday.

Wheelchair World Cup begins

Today marks the start of the Wheelchair World Cup. Spain face Ireland in the opener at 5:00pm from the Copper Box Arena, London, before England play Australia at 7:30pm in a double-header.

Mitch Clark secures future

Former Super League forward Mitch Clark has signed a new deal to remain at Newcastle Thunder for the 2023 Championship season.

The 29-year-old had previously been linked with a move to France for the Elite One competition. However, he has signed a new one-year deal with Newcastle. He made 25 appearances for the club in 2022, scoring one try.

Former NRL, Super League and international forward Frank Pritchard turns 39 today (November 3).

Also celebrating; England and Huddersfield forward Chris Hill (35), Greece international Matt Constantinou (30)  and outside-back Ben Tibbs (22).
