Rinaldi returns to Quins

Harlequins have today signed former hooker Julien Rinaldi from Wakefield on a two-year-deal.

The 32-year-old had his first spell with the London based club in 2007 and 2008, making 48 appearances in the process. However Quins were forced to release Rinaldi due to tighter RFL regulations on foreign players.

Rinaldi was player/coach of Villenueve Leopards, his home town club, in 2010 until signing a short term deal with Wakefield, which then was extended for the 2011 season.

Commenting on the signing, Quins head coach Rob Powell said “It’s great to have Julien back on board. He left the club in 2008 more due an RFL ruling than anything else. He’s been exceptional for Wakefield this year and will provide strike out of dummy half with his running, passing and kicking game.”
