Rhinos recall Sutcliffe from Bradford

Leeds have recalled stand-off Liam Sutcliffe from his loan spell at Bradford.

Sutcliffe, 19, joined on an initial one-month deal and has played in the Bulls’ last four matches, scoring a try in Sunday’s defeat against Widnes.

Bulls coach Francis Cummins said: “Liam has been fantastic for us, he has provided another number for us – in a key position.

“In return, we have been able to give him some valuable game time in Super League.

“He has certainly impressed and has begun to work out his game. Having played on the front at Leeds, coming to Bradford to play on the back foot – at the moment – is not easy to do.

“I believe both parties have benefitted from his move and I would like to thank (Leeds Rhinos head coach) Brian McDermott and (chief executive) Gary Hetherington for their assistance.

“They were more than willing to help us and I must pay tribute to them both for their kindness.”
