The RFL are set to investigate the trouble which erupted at the Wakefield v Castleford game on Good Friday.

The investigation will look into the crowd trouble between both sets of supporters and how the incident was managed.

Wakefield chairman James Elston said: “We are in full support of the RFL investigation. We will not hesitate to take the strongest action possible in banning any individuals found to be guilty from the investigation.

“Our initial investigations have already identified a number of people and we will be taking action against them.

“Rugby league as a sport and Wakefield Wildcats as a club prides itself on being family friendly and this is something we will strive to maintain by ensuring the people involved in Friday’s nights incidents are banned from attending fixtures in the future.”
