Castleford’s Ben Reynolds has signed a new two-year contract with the club.

Reynolds, 19, can play at either full-back or half-back, and the new deal will keep him at the Tigers until the end of the 2015 season.

Although the youngster has yet to make his senior debut, he has enjoyed a successful spell with the Under 19s having progressed through the club’s scholarship programme and has been training with the first team squad.

Head coach Daryl Powell said: “I am delighted that Ben has agreed to stay at Castleford for a further two years.

“He is a quality young man and a player of undoubted potential. I look forward to working with Ben over the next two years to see him fulfil that potential at his development club.”

Reynolds said: “I am absolutely delighted to sign a deal for the next two seasons with the club.

“I have been working incredibly hard on my game for the last few years and I feel as though things are starting to come together now.

“My immediate aim is to push for a place in the team for the remaining games this year but I know that I must continue to work even harder to try and earn my place as a regular next season.”
