Reed swaps Keighley for Hunslet

Hunslet have signed prop Lewis Reed from Keighley on a one-year deal.

Reed, 22, was previously with Bradford, and has recently been on loan at Hemel Stags.

Director of Rugby Darren Williams said: “Lewis comes highly recommended and is hungry for an opportunity to play regular and settle at a club, he has played 4 first team games for Keighley this year but has become frustrated at his lack of opportunities.

“He’s a big unit and has the right disciplines from his education at the Bulls.”

Meanwhile, James Davies and Luke Haigh have also committed to the Hawks for next year’s Championship 1 campaign.

Davies returned to the club in July from Australia, making three appearances, while Haigh will re-join the Hawks once his commitments to community club Thornhill Trojans are complete.
