Wigan forward Ramon Silva has returned to Championship club London Broncos on an initial one-month loan deal.

The Brazilian prop spent three seasons in London’s academy before joining Super League giants Wigan ahead of last season.

Silva has yet to make his first team debut for Wigan but spent time on loan at Widnes and North Wales Crusaders last season.

The 21-year-old forward will be eligible to play in London’s upcoming Championship fixtures against Batley, Whitehaven, Halifax and Sheffield.

Silva said: “I’m grateful for this opportunity. I look forward to linking back up with the Broncos for the start of the 2023 season.

“Hopefully I can get some good minutes under my belt and help the club make a positive start to the year.”

Wigan transition coach John Duffy said: “It’s a great opportunity to continue his development in a good environment.

“It’s also good for Ramon to be around his family back in London for a few weeks.”

Broncos coach delighted to welcome Ramon Silva back home

Silva, who played eight games for Wigan’s reserves in 2022, started his rugby league journey with Elmbridge Eagles before joining London’s academy, where he played alongside Wigan team-mate Kai Pearce-Paul.

Broncos coach Mike Eccles said: “Ramon’s arrival helps bolster our pack as we continue our permanent recruitment drive.

“I’m delighted to bring Razor home, even if it’s only for one month initially. He’s one of us in my eyes and knows most of our players and staff already which is a big advantage.

“He adds depth to our squad and I can’t wait to see him out there in a Broncos shirt. We’re grateful to Matt Peet and John Duffy at Wigan for helping to facilitate this move.”

The Broncos get their Championship campaign underway at home to Batley on Sunday, February 5.
