Raleigh out for six weeks

Huddersfield back rower Andy Raleigh will be out for six weeks with a knee injury.

The news comes as a blow to the Giants who had hoped the former Hull KR man would be able to return as early as next weekend.

Scans have shown the 28-year-old suffered ligament damage during the 30-8 victory over Hull KR on Easter Monday.

He joins new signing Liam Fulton on the sidelines, who was last week ruled out for ten weeks with knee ligament damage.

Head Coach Nathan Brown said: “To lose Liam after such a short time with us was disappointing, and to now lose Andy makes it even more disappointing.”

“What’s a particular blow for Andy is that he’s picked up this injury just a couple of weeks after recovering from another one (a finger dislocation).

“He’d returned from that in good form and was showing some nice rhythm.”
