Radford wants Hull to time it right

Hull FC coach Lee Radford is pleased with his team’s current Super League form, but also knows that they must not peak too early.

If the Airlie Birds want to achieve tangible success this season, according to their coach, then they must make sure that they are performing to their optimum at the business end of the season.

“What is crucial for us is that we peak at the right time of the year,” he told his club’s official website.

“It’s imperative that we are all systems go when we hopefully reach the latter stages of the cup and also push in that eight.

“What has got us here is hard work, we’ve got to continue to do that and not fall in love with ourselves.

“We went on a nine game run this time last year and ended up finishing eighth, so I’m really conscious of that and conscious of everyone staying grounded.”
