Radford focused on Saints

Hull FC coach Lee Radford has insisted that his team will not allow the celebrations of Saturday’s Challenge Cup final affect their preparations to face St Helens on Friday at Langtree Park.

Hull ended their ‘Wembley hoodoo’ by beating Warrington 12-10 on Saturday, and Radford acknowledges that it will be tough to lift his troops.

“We’ve had little preparation for the game having had the game on the Saturday and then celebrated with the fans and families over the last few days,” he told his club’s official website.

“Saturday was a really physical, tough game, so it will be difficult to get up again on Friday.

“But we’re focused on kicking on after Saturday and finishing the season as strong as we can.”
