Lee Radford felt that his team made a superb effort in overturning a 20-point deficit to mount a superb fightback and beat Hull KR 22-20 at the KC Lightstream Stadium today.

The Hull FC coach was especially pleased with his team’s efforts in defence.

“What a great game, I thought,” he told Sky Sports.

“I thought the effort from both teams was through the roof. To finish in that manner is fantastic, I’m really pleased.

“We ran our blood to water, and I felt they did first period as well. For 60 minutes we had one half back on the field, and we looked like that as well.

“But defensively I can’t fault any of their efforts.

“My life’s not worth living when we lose these games, the result is massive.”
