Radford coy about league position

Hull FC might be top of the table but head coach Lee Radford admitted it is still very early in the season.

The Airlie Birds cruised to a 34-10 victory against Warrington at the KCOM Stadium.

“There’s a hell of a long way to go, so we’ll not get too carried away with ourselves,” he said. “The rollercoaster keeps going don’t worry about that.”

Radford reserved special praise for the players from the bench, after losing several key men to injuries recently.

Danny Houghton and captain Gareth Ellis were just some of the players who were unavailable.

“I just think this week is probably the least amount of numbers we had to select from, so the lads that came off the bench did a really big job for us as well I thought,” he added.

“They were going to come really desperate looking at the league, table so to get the result is pleasing.”
