Twickenham Stoop will host a rugby double header next month when Harlequins’ union and league teams play back-to-back.

The union side will take on Leeds Carnegie in the Guinness Premiership (2pm) before the league team hosts St Helens in the Engage Super League (5.30pm) on Saturday 10th April.

Season ticket holders at both clubs and existing ticket holders for either match will be entitled to enjoy a fantastic double bill of rugby, dubbed Rugby United.

Harlequins Rugby League general manager, Paul Blanchard said: “Rugby United is a very exciting new development in the growing partnership between both clubs and we are thrilled to be able to showcase the best of Super League to a wider audience.

“Fans of both codes will be able to enjoy a fantastic afternoon of live rugby for the price of a single ticket and it promises to be a very special occasion for both clubs.”

The Stoop last held a rugby double header in 2006 when over 12,000 fans saw Harlequins overcome Plymouth Albion before Harlequins Rugby League beat the Huddersfield Giants.

Season ticket holders for both clubs can watch their respective match from their usual seat and will be allocated a second ticket and seat for the other match. They will be written to separately with the ticketing arrangements, as well as though that have purchased tickets for the original Leeds Carnegie match and those that have purchased for the St Helens match.
