Four Super League players will appear before the RFL Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday evening to answer charges brought following incidents in their teams’ Engage Super League Round 25 fixtures last weekend.

Huddersfield Giants forward Keith Mason has been charged with intentionally standing on the leg of opponent Stuart Fielden in the 16th minute and then running in and pushing the same opponent in an aggressive manner during Huddersfield’s match against Wigan Warriors at the DW Stadium on Sunday night.  In the same match, Giants prop Darrell Griffin and Stuart Fielden of Wigan Warriors have been charged with the Grade A offence for fighting in the 16th minute.

Hull FC full-back Jordan Tansey has been charged with a Grade C offence for a dangerous throw on Crusaders’ Clinton Schifcofske in the 78th minute of Friday’s match at the KC Stadium.

All four players were charged after the incidents were viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel earlier today.

Meanwhile, Tony Martin of the Crusaders was cautioned for placing undue pressure on the knee joint of Epalahame Lauaki in the 12th minute against Hull FC on Friday night. Hull KR’s Scott Murrell also received a caution for placing undue pressure on the knee joint of Salford’s Marc Sneyd in the 40th minute of their match at The Willows on Sunday.

The cautions will remain on the players’ disciplinary records for consideration in the event of future incidents.
