Puletua mulling over rugby league future

Recently retired front rower Tony Puletua is considering staying in rugby league, after ending his playing career with Hull KR at the end of the season.

Puetua has been involved in a long-running dispute with former club Salford Red Devils this year, and had considered spending some time away from the sport once he retired.

It seems that he could have some offers on the table when he returns Down Under, however.

“I’m going to get home, settle in then set up some meetings with clubs I played at back in the day,” he told the Hull Daily Mail.

“Nothing’s cemented but I’ll see what I can get when I get back home.

“I had mixed feelings about when finishing up. I kind of wanted to get away from the game but there’s loads of people telling me to stay in it!

“I suppose it’s a good idea when you get told that you’re good at something and can help people with it that you stay within the game.”
