Hull FC stand-off Leon Pryce has requested the club’s fans to keep backing the players, despite their disappointing defeat to Leeds on Thursday evening.

The Airlie Birds threw away a 12-0 half-time lead to end up losing 43-12.

“I can understand that supporters are frustrated but we must stay positive for when we go to Wigan, as we need the full fans to get behind us and use them as an extra man,” the 33-year-old told his club’s official website.

“We know that it will be tough as they are a good side but it gives us a challenge to pull together and get a result there. We have eight days to work to put things right.

“It isn’t doom and gloom, it is still only round four and supporters have seen snippets of us putting together a full team performance.

“Look at the first game against Huddersfield we put in a full eighty minute performance and came home with the result, we have to repeat that in every match going forward.”
