Prince set for NRL milestone

Scott Prince will mark his 250th NRL match on this weekend when he lines up for Gold Coast against South Sydney on Friday.

The 31-year-old former North Queensland, Brisbane and Wests star says he feels lucky to be in the position to reach such a milestone.

“It’s a milestone that I never thought I’d reach in the early part of my career,’’ said Prince.

“Especially my time at the Broncos, I spent a lot of time on the sidelines through injury.

“The one thing that I learnt was never take anything for granted, to play each game as they come because it could be your last. That’s the way I’ve approached the games after that and I’m very fortunate to be playing the greatest game of all.

“But (tomorrow night) it’s all about winning for the team. We had a really good win last week which was a shot of confidence that was certainly needed. All the boys are buzzing now and we’re working really hard to build on that win from last week.’’

Prince will be aiming to help the Titans improve upon last Friday’s victory over St George when they meet the Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium.
