Prince agrees five-year Titans deal

Gold Coast halfback Scott Prince will see out his playing days with the Titans after he agreed a deal to keep him at the club until the end of 2014.

The 29-year-old Queensland Origin star says he is excited about Titans’ future and he wants to bring an NRL premiership title to the Coast before he hangs up his boots.

He told AAP: “This contract pretty much rules out going to the Super League or any other sport, the union, so I’m happy to stay here and know that I’m retiring a Titan.”

“It has been special to be a part of something new and it’s still a very young organisation, I think we’re still learning, but it’s exciting what’s over the mountain.”

Prince, who skippers the side along with veteran prop Luke Bailey, says the Titans have what it takes to go all the way.

He added: “I’m sure in the future we’ll sign a few other key players – high profile players I’m hoping – but in terms of the playing roster now, I’m very happy with it and I think it can go a long way to making a bit of history.”
