Toa Kohe-Love, James Ford, Dean Gaskell and Steve Pickersgill could return to action in this Sky Sports televised Co-operative Championship clash.

Each of the Widnes quartet was assessed before last week’s game against Sheffield but none of them featured in Paul Cullen’s Don Valley squad.

Vikings won 44-30 against fellow title contenders Sheffield, a result that will provide a huge confidence boost ahead of this mouth-watering fixture.

But Halifax are not lacking in self-belief either. A 32-26 victory over Sheffield was followed up by last week’s 34-24 win at Batley.

Halifax coach Matt Calland told the Halifax Courier: “We have high expectations of ourselves.

“We were resilient (against Batley), which was a big positive, and it’s two games now that we’ve won that we didn’t win last year.
“But we have got to be better than that, be ruthless and finish teams off.”
