Tom Woodcock returns to action following a shoulder injury but Casey Mayberry and Lee Marsh are still a couple of weeks away from playing.

Panthers coach Martin Crompton will be without dual registered signing John Walker, who has been called into Wigan’s squad to face Harlequins, but he has swooped for Josh Charnley to soften the blow.

“Josh will be starting against Doncaster,” said Crompton. “Wigan rate him very highly and they consider him to be one of the best junior players they’ve got.

“That’s a massive compliment and tells you what they you think of him. He brings size, aggression and is very quick. He’s a gem of a signing for a club like us.”

Doncaster are boosted by three new signings ahead of Friday’s Co-operative Championship One clash.

Tony Miller has swooped to secure the signatures of hooker Paul Hughes and prop Liam Crawley from Championship club Dewsbury.

Rob Lunt also joins the Dons, and all three are in contention for a place in Friday’s squad.

However, Grant Edwards has been sidelined for nine months with a knee injury in news that will come as a major blow to Miller.

Doncaster chief executive Carl Hall said: “We will go to Blackpool refreshed after our short break and we will be looking to fire into them.”
