Preston fit to face Roosters

Gold Coast have named veteran fullback Preston Campbell in the team to face the Sydney Roosters in Saturday’s NRL preliminary final.

Campbell, 33, has missed the Titans’ last four matches due to a hamstring injury but will return to the side to face the Roosters.

William Zillman will move to the wing with Luke O’Dwyer moving to the bench.

“I’m definitely right to go,’’ said Campbell.

“It’s a big game, they (the Roosters) have won one game against us this year and we’ve won one this year so it’s almost like the best out of three and the winner goes through to the grand final.

“We’ve been pretty relaxed this week. We’ve mixed our training up, we haven’t trained as much as we have during the season and we’ve done a lot more outside of football together so we just feel more relaxed.

“I just look around and there’s a good feel at the club, not just with the players but the officials.’’
