Powell pleased with attitude after defeat

Castleford boss Daryl Powell believes the Tigers are ready to bounce back from last weekend’s shock defeat at Salford.

The Tigers face Catalan on Sunday without top try scorer Greg Minikin due to a shoulder injury, but Powell has brought Rangi Chase and Oliver Holmes back into his squad.

“We are all disappointed with last week’s loss – it was a poor performance in tough conditions and we are back at home this weekend and looking to get back on track,” he told the club’s official website.

“We need to fix up that loss straight away and that’s been our focus this week. We’ve trained really well this week and our attitude has been great.

“Greg Minikin’s injury doesn’t look too bad, he shouldn’t be out for too long, and Jake Webster picked up a head knock at Salford but he should be okay for Sunday too.”
