Hull KR prop Justin Poore was handed a three-match ban as the RFL handed down five suspensions to Super League players on Tuesday night.
Poore was also fined £300 after being found guilty of making a dangerous throw on Bradford’s Matty Blythe during the Robins’ 16-0 win on Sunday.
The charge has prompted an angry response from Rovers chairman Neil Hudgell, who claimed a similar tackle in the Hull v Widnes game on Sunday resulted in no charge for three Widnes players involved.
St Helens back-rower Jon Wilkin was suspended for two matches for a reckless high tackle on Wakefield’s Chris Riley, and also fined £300.
Hull’s Gareth Ellis (two matches), Widnes’ Willie Isa (one match) and St Helens prop Kyle Amor (one match) all received bans after submitting Early Guilty Pleas to their respective charges.
