Police drop Locke investigation

A police investigation into a compaint of sexual assualt against New Zealand Warriors fullback Kevin Locke has been dropped.

The complaint was lodged against Locke, 22, in April but after a lengthy enquiry, police have decided not to take any action.

The news was announced by Warriors Chief Executive Wayne Scurrah.

“The police have conducted a thorough investigation into a complaint Kevin strenuously denied from the outset,” said Scurrah.

“Kevin co-operated fully throughout and we’re pleased the matter has now been closed.”
