Podcast: The Final Hooter 2020 #1 – we are back with a bang

Drew Darbyshire

The first Final Hooter podcast of 2020 has arrived, with Dave Parkinson once again pairing with Adrian Jackson to host.

We talk about rugby league coming up to its 125th birthday, the retirees from 2019 and looking at the new faces that will grace Super League in 2020.

Dave ventured out to the Championship and League 1 launch at Huddersfield Town Hall where he caught up with Leigh coach John Duffy and Toulouse boss Sylvain Houles.

He also chatted to Workington hooker Dec O’Donnell and Newcastle’s new recruit Bob Beswick. We also hear from Woman of Steel Courtney Hill as she prepares herself for another season with Leeds in the Women’s Super League.

Steve Manning went over to the St Helens media day, where he spoke to Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Lachlan Coote and Kyle Amor.

And finally, Adrian attended Warrington’s season launch where he spoke to coach Steve Price, local lad Joe Philbin and new kid on the block Anthony Gelling.
