Pitts relishes Wolves challenge

Leeds forward Jay Pitts is looking forward to the challenge of facing Warrington, as the Rhinos season gathers momentum.

Since their World Club Challenge win over Manly, Leeds have picked up solid victories over Widnes and Castleford, and they welcome last season’s league leaders to Headingley on Friday night, for a match televised by SKY Sports.

Pitts told the club’s official website: “Warrington are very strong. They have players who can hurt you right across the team and we know we have to be ready for a massive challenge.

“It was good to keep the momentum up from our last two games at Cas last week but we know that we will need to improve even more against the Wolves.”

Pitts, 22, has featured in both of the last two matches, and is now in his third full season at Leeds.

He joined from Wakefield midway through the 2009 season, and has since made 24 Super League appearances for the Rhinos.
