Pickersgill given one-match ban

Widnes prop Steve Pickersgill will miss this Sunday’s Northern Rail Cup clash against Rochdale through suspension.

Pickersgill, 25, was found guilty of making a Grade B dangerous throw tackles in the Vikings’ opening day victory at London Skolars.

The former Warrington front-rower, who missed last weekend’s home game against Toulouse, was handed a one-match ban after admitting the charge in front of the RFL Disciplinary Committee.
