USA star Eddy Pettybourne has linked up with his new club Toulouse Olympique for the 2018 season.

The 29-year-old prop had an impressive World Cup campaign and was a stand out for the USA Hawks. He has joined from NRL side Gold Coast Titans.

He has played a total of 145 games in the NRL for South Sydney Rabbitohs, Wests Tigers and Gold Coast Titans.

Pettybourne is a familiar face in the UK, having spent the 2014 season with Wigan Warriors, playing in their World Club Challenge defeat to Sydney Roosters in Australia.

The blockbusting forward is looking forward to challenging himself in the Championship in 2018.

He said: “I am very excited about joining Toulouse, with a great project and a great story behind it.

“I feel really grateful for this opportunity that has been given to me. I really look forward to meeting everyone at the club, including the fans, and representing the TO this season.”

Olympique president, Bernard Sarrazain, believes the signing of Pettybourne is another statement of intent from the club.

He said: “The experience and qualities of Eddy can only help us to go one step further in 2018.

“After the World Cup he has done, I cannot wait to see him with the TO jersey. With this arrival, we conclude our recruitment in beauty.”
