Perth likely to host Test match

Perth appears to set to host a Test match between Australia and New Zealand as a warm-up to this year’s Four Nations.

Newcastle will be the location for the Anzac test between the Kangaroos and Kiwis during the season.

The game in the Western Australian capital, the first time it will host a major international match, is expected to be played at nib Stadium in October. The Kangaroos have never played in Perth.

It will be logical stopping point for both countries on their way to the UK for the Four Nations.

Perth is also expected to host a game during the 2017 World Cup that will be co-hosted by Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
