Penny extends Quins loan deal

Warrington winger Kevin Penny has extended his loan deal with Harlequins for a further month.

The 22-year-old winger arrived in London from their Super League rivals last month and made an immediate impact.

Penny scored a try in his debut against St Helens, was in the team that registered a famous victory over league leaders Wigan and most recently scored a try in last Saturday’s Magic Weekend victory over Hull FC.

Penny said: “I have really been enjoying my rugby since arriving in London. I’ve been given a fairly free role in matches and it’s been quite easy to fit in with what Quins are trying to achieve.

“I am looking forward to continue that in the next month and, once again, I am very grateful for the opportunity.”

Under the terms of the loan agreement, Penny could be recalled by Warrington should they choose and Penny will not be eligible to play in Sunday’s fifth round Carnegie Challenge Cup tie when Harlequins play St Helens at the Twickenham Stoop
