Peacock out for a month

England captain Jamie Peacock is a doubt for the mid-season international against France after suffering a knee injury.

The Leeds forward sustained the injury during Friday’s win over Warrington and will be out for four to six weeks, ruling him out of the Challenge Cup tie against Wigan on 29th May.

Leeds Rugby Head of Physiotherapy Services Meirion Jones said, “Jamie Peacock has sprained knee ligaments and will not be available for the next 4-6 weeks.

Chris Clarkson sprained ankle ligaments in the same game and his progress will be monitored over the next few weeks.”

Peacock doesn’t require surgery, but faces a race against time to be fit for England‘s game against France at Leigh on June 12.
