Peacock aims for fourth WCC title

Jamie Peacock will become the first player to win the World Club Challenge four times if Leeds see off Manly on Friday night.

Peacock, 34, is appearing in a record sixth match, having won two and lost three of his previous appearances.

He lined up alongside Rhinos coaching team Brian McDermott and James Lowes for Bradford in 2002, when the Bulls defeated Newcastle 41-26, and they followed that up two years later with a 22-4 defeat of Penrith.

After switching to Leeds, Peacock picked up his third winners medal in the Rhinos’ 11-4 win over Melbourne, but suffered defeat in his last two games, against Manly and Melbourne in 2009 and 2010 respectively.

Leeds can join both Wigan and Bradford with three World Club Challenge successes should they win on Friday night.
