Pat Moran returns to French Elite One competition

Ireland international and former Warrington youngster Pat Moran has returned to Avignon in the French Elite One competition. 

The 24-year-old returns after spending the 2022 season with Newcastle Thunder. He also featured for Rochdale in League 1 on loan during the campaign.

Moran started his career at Warrington, making his professional debut in the Challenge Cup against Bradford in 2018. He went on to make just two appearances, before joining Widnes in 2020.

The forward enjoyed his first stint in France in 2021 with Avignon, before returning to England with London Broncos. He now links back up with the side for the current 2022/23 season.

He has also won two caps for Ireland on the international stage.

Avignon currently sit sixth in the table with three wins from seven, with Carcassonne leading the way with six wins.
