Oxford have signed centre Yannic Parker from Gloucestershire All Golds.

Parker, 23, hails from Haverfordwest and previously made eight appearances for South Wales Scorpions in 2012, before moving on to play 10 times for the All Golds last season.

He said: “I am very excited and happy to be a part of Oxford rugby league. The Club has formed very successfully with a good solid base. The club had a great debut season in Championship One and I am hoping we can build on that season and make it even further this year. I am also very excited to be coached by Tony Benson and his team; with the experience he has in the game I am certain it will be a successful combination.

“I am looking forward to building on Oxfords brilliant start to Championship One, and I believe a play-off spot is well within reach. I believe come the end of the season we will be in the play-offs and hopefully with the additions made to the squad we can push ourselves all the way.”

Parker, who can also play in the second row, has played for Wales students, and previously played rugby union for Whitland RFC and Tenby RFC.
