Parker signs for Scorpions

South Wales Scorpions have confirmed that Yannic Parker has rejoined them after spending last season at Gloucestershire All Golds.

He spent time with the Scorpions on loan last year, and has now turned down a return to the English West Country in favour of staying in Wales.

“Signing for the Scorpions full-time was a no brainier after my loan spell last year,” he said.

“The chance to come back to be club where I played my first ever pro game was never in question.

“After talking to Phil and Neil and hearing the plans for the coming seasons, I knew it was a journey I wanted to be part of.

“Having played with Phil in my first spell at Scorps and winning my first Welsh cap with him, I have a huge amount of respect for him and am really looking forward to being coached by him.

“I have enjoyed my years playing for Gloucester and Oxford but the chance to play for a Welsh club was too good to turn down after the enjoyment I had last year. I can’t wait to get stuck in and get back with all the boys.”
