Papua New Guinea star Justin Olam commits his future to Melbourne

Drew Darbyshire

Melbourne centre Justin Olam has signed a new contract that will see him stay with the club until the end of 2022.

The 26-year-old has scored seven tries in 19 first-grade games for Storm since making his NRL debut in 2018. He has earned nine caps for Papua New Guinea.

A Storm statement read: “Affectionately known as ‘the human brick’, Olam plays with seemingly no sense of self-preservation.

“His passion has won him countless fans in Melbourne and at home in PNG.

“His gentle manner away from the field belies his fierce playing style – he embodies our club values of accountability, hard work, respect, family and passion and the club is delighted to have Justin on board until at least the end of the 2022 season.”
