Salford want Roberts

Salford Red Devils are pursuing a deal for Huddersfield Giants forward Oliver Roberts, report League Express.

The two clubs have held discussions about a deal that would see the Ireland international join the club on a season-long loan, according to League Express.

Catalans in for another Wigan man

Catalans Dragons are on the look-out to boost their ranks and have got their eye on Wigan Warriors prop Ben Flower, report League Weekly.

Having been warned off Gil Dudson and Lee Mossop by Salford Red Devils, they will have been encouraged that number one choice Flower was not in the Cherry and Whites team on Thursday night, according to League Weekly.

Widnes make four additions

Widnes Vikings have completed the permanent signing of four players that spent the close season on trial with the club, report League Express.

Lewis Hulme, Connor Williams, Jordan Case and Callum Wood have all penned reserve contracts for the 2020 season, according to League Express.

Clubs could suffer over Folau signing

Israel Folau’s controversial to Super League has sparked fears that key sponsors could pull out and leave clubs in serious financial jeopardy, report League Weekly.

Wakefield chief executive, Michael Carter, told League Weekly: “So many people are vehemently against it and, for a club like ours, this could have major financial repercussions throughout our organisation.”

Toronto to receive dispensation

Toronto Wolfpack are set to receive salary cap dispensation, but not as originally planned, report League Express.

It’s believed the Wolfpack will have a dispensation approved that will allow them to sign two young players to their squad, thus extending their squad to 25 players, according to League Express.

NRL prop offered to Super League clubs

NRL prop Patrick Kaufusi has been offered to Super League clubs, report League Weekly.

The 25-year-old, who was released by St George Illawarra Dragons at the end of last season, is after a move to the UK, according League Weekly.
