Pair doubtful for Swinton

Bruce Johnson and Danny Heaton (knee) are both doubtful for Swinton.

Paul Kidd’s side fell to a disappointing 28-6 home defeat against Blackpool last week, and Kidd will be determined to make improvements on Sunday.

Kidd said: “We didn’t take our chances against Blackpool, but really we just weren’t good enough.”

Rob Kelly is Hunslet’s only absentee. “He’s doing more and more in training,” said coach Paul March. “He’ll start contact work in a couple of weeks and hopefully we can get him back before the play-offs.”

March added: “We got the job done last week. We only played for 60 minutes and we lost concentration for 20 minutes of the game which allowed them to score three soft tries.

“We can’t afford to lose concentration this week. Swinton are much improved since the last time we played them.

Phil Joseph is on top form and I used to play with him at Huddersfield so I know exactly what he can do. We’ll have to be firing to get the points.”
