Pack improvement please Henderson

London Broncos player/coach Andrew Henderson was pleased to see an improvment from his middle unit forwards at the weekend.

The Broncos lost their Championship Shield encounter at Dewsbury 25-16 on Monday, but Henderson saw some signs for optimism.

“I was proud of our middle boys today as I’ve been putting them under a lot of pressure, I felt they’ve been poor,” Henderson told his club’s official website.

“Matt Davis, young Sid (Sadiq Abebiyi) Ben Gray, Jon Wallace and Erjon Dollapi. Plus James Cunningham led from the front today, the middle did a god job for us today.

“Dewsbury are a big, tough and physical unit and I think we contained them.

“James for me has some leadership quality and he probably doesn’t realise that yet.

“I do believe he’s got something in there and I’m sure we’ll unearth that in the coming seasons.

“It was a great opportunity for him to lead the team, I thought he done well and let from the front.”
