Ottawa Aces have signed former St Helens and Workington centre Calvin Wellington for the 2021 season.

The 24-year-old came through the ranks at Saints and made his first-team debut at the 2017 Magic Weekend. He has also spent time at Workington over the previous two seasons.

Ottawa coach Laurent Frayssinous said: “I’m delighted with Calvin’s signature for our team.

“He comes from a good system and has all the abilities to perform at the highest level. He’s strong, fast, skilful and he will add a lot to our squad.”

Wellington said: “I feel privileged to get signed to the Ottawa Aces and hopefully we can embed a strong culture of rugby league in Ottawa.

“I’ve heard amazing things about the place and the people so I’m excited to come up there and experience that myself.”
