Orford to make Bulls bow

New Bradford signing Matt Orford is set to make his debut for the club in their friendly against Leeds on Sunday.

Orford, 31, was signed in the close season from Manly and is expected to fill the void left by Paul Deacon‘s departure to Wigan.

Fellow new signings Heath L’Estrange, Brett Kearney and Stuart Reardon have also been named in Steve McNamara’s 21-man squad for the game at Headingley, for Matt Diskin‘s testimonial.

Orford signed a three-year deal with the Bulls in November, believed to be worth £840,000.

He won the prestigious Dally M Medal in the 2008 NRL season, during which he led Manly to the NRL premiership.
