Only way is up for Toulouse

Toulouse Olympique hope to have up to three senior players back in contention as they search for a win that could haul them off the foot of the Co-operative Championship table.

Rory Bromley could be set to make his first appearance of the year following an Achilles operation, while Josh Lewis (back) and Craig Cook (knee) are also on the verge of returning to action.

Hunslet Hawks will travel to the south of France without ex-Super League winger Richie Barnett, who has failed to recover from a knee problem.

Hawks coach Paul March said: “Richie probably needs just another week. He’s seeing the physio and we’ll take it from there.”

March added: “We travel to Toulouse on Thursday, and we need to stick together as a group and keep battling together.

“It’s a massive game for us, and it’s the first time we’re going over there to play.

“It’s something different – we’ll be away for four days and the lads can get to know each other away from the field, but we’ll be professional with that and hopefully we can come away with the three points.”
