One in, one out at Featherstone

Featherstone have signed Leeds prop Wellington Albert on a one-month loan deal, while Jimmy Beckett has gone to Oldham on loan.

Albert has already made four appearances for Rovers via dual-registration from the Rhinos.

The 24-year-old has earned five caps for Papua New Guinea, playing for the Kumuls in two World Cups.

Featherstone coach Ryan Carr said: “He’s been a good addition to the team and brings even more depth to our already strong forward pack.

“His signing will help push everyone else to their best as well as they continue to battle for jerseys every week.”

Meanwhile, Beckett will head to League 1 side Oldham in search for regular first-team rugby.

The 20-year-old has been limited to just two appearances for Featherstone so far, but the Rovers will be able to recall the youngster if required.
