Wests Tigers legend Chris Lawrence has signed a new one-year contract extension with the club.

The 31-year-old back-rower will enter his 15th season with the Tigers next year, making him the longest consecutively serving player in the club’s history.

Lawrence made his NRL debut back in 2006 and has since made 240 appearances for the club.

He said: “I’m extremely thankful and proud to re-sign with Wests Tigers for another year.

“This club has always been where I have called home and I’m really excited to be able to continue playing in the colours that I love.

“The members and fans of Wests Tigers have always shown tremendous support to me throughout my career and I’m very grateful for that.

“Under Michael Maguire [coach], Wests Tigers is definitely going in the right direction so I’m looking forward to being a part of that and help bring the success this club deserves.”
